Frontier Charter School is a parent-directed homeschool program that provides a large array of educational choices and opportunities for homeschooling students in the Anchorage School District service area. This can include self-paced courses taken at home; parent-taught courses; online courses; vendor-taught classes; classes at the local neighborhood school and college courses (dual enrollment while earning high school and college credits); the flexibility to learn from almost anywhere!
We provide resources in support of your educational values and goals and offer the greatest level of freedom to choose the curriculum that you want.
We help parents/guardians determine the educational program that is best for their child. This includes a generous allotment to fund academic purchases including curriculum, instructional services, technology, music lessons, fine arts and PE. Need an instructional vendor? At Frontier, you choose the vendor that you want.
Homeschooling with Frontier includes extracurricular opportunities such as ASD sports, seasonal clubs, and monthly field trips.
